charity: water

Stronger communities start with clean water

696 million people worldwide lack access to clean water.

Most live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect it for their families. This time-consuming burden keeps children from attending school, parents from earning a living, and communities from thriving. Reliable access to safe drinking water can improve health, local economies, and educational opportunities.

Viscadia is proud to partner with charity: water to help bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.

Health

Clean water and sanitation save thousands of lives every week.

Time

In Africa, women and girls spend an estimated 40 billion hours each year collecting water.

Education

With nearby water and safe sanitation, more children, especially girls, can attend school.

Empowerment

When women and girls gain time back, they can build stronger, more independent futures.

One community at a time

In Banteay Krang 1, Cambodia, a well with a hand pump now serves a community with safe, reliable drinking water. Funded by Viscadia and built in partnership with charity: water and Concern Worldwide, this project is a tangible reminder that every well, every community, and every person reached matters.

“Clean drinking water is something many of us take for granted, but over half a billion people spend hours every day collecting unsafe water for themselves and their families. We work with charity: water to build wells that improve communities and save lives.”
