About the Role

This role will be a key finance partner to the India Leadership and global stakeholders. This role is responsible for end-to-en financial planning, reporting, accounting oversight and business decision support for India operations, while ensuring alignment with global finance standards. The incumbent will play a critical role in driving financial discipline, improving forecast accuracy, enabling cost optimization and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Analysis & Business Partnering

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning for India operations
  • Evaluate financial impact of strategic initiatives, hiring plans and capacity expansion
  • Prepare and interpret financial models, KPIs, dashboards, and variance analysis
  • Support leadership with scenario modelling and forward-looking projections
  • Partner closely with business leaders to provide actionable insights for decision-making

Reporting, Governance & Process Improvement

  • Consolidate and present monthly financial results to India leadership
  • Monitor project margins, utilization, and cost drivers in a consulting environment
  • Highlight key trends, risks and opportunities through structured reporting
  • Standardize and improve financial reporting processes and tools
  • Ensure adherence to statutory, tax and regulatory requirements in India
  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities and compliance with financial covenants

Accounting & Financial Controls

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closure processes for India operations
  • Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Coordinate with external financial partners, auditors and global finance teams during audits and reviews
  • Oversee end-to-end AP/AR processes including invoicing, collections and vendor payments
  • Track daily cash balances, forecast liquidity requirements, and optimize working capital
  • Support office capacity planning and cost-benefit analysis for India operations

Qualifications

Required

  • MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline from Tier 1/Tier 2 B-School
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance, or FP&A roles
  • Strong exposure to business finance in consulting, analytics, professional services or similar industry
  • High attention to detail with ability to translate data into strategic insights
  • Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and other key financial analysis tools and expense management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication for reporting to stakeholders and presenting insights
  • High integrity and commitment to ethical practices in financial management
  • Flexibility to navigate changes in market conditions or organizational strategy
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
