Business Context and Position Overview

Viscadia is experiencing an exciting phase of growth, expanding our global presence and strengthening partnerships with leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and MedTech companies. We are seeking an accomplished Human Resource Director to join our India team in Gurgaon. This strategic leadership role will oversee our entire HR function with particular focus on talent development, learning initiatives, and streamlining HR operations. The ideal candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to develop and implement effective HR practices that support our ambitious growth objectives while fostering a high-performance culture. This role will be instrumental in transforming our team into a stronger, more cohesive unit that consistently delivers exceptional value to our clients.

Responsibilities

Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to business leaders, understanding their unique needs and challenges
  • Align HR initiatives with business priorities to drive organizational effectiveness
  • Participate in leadership meetings to provide people-centric insights for business decisions
  • Translate business strategy into actionable HR plans with measurable outcomes
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support business growth and transformation
  • Anticipate workforce needs based on business forecasts and market trends
  • Provide oversight to office operations to ensure a productive and efficient workplace environment

People Development (Acquire, Engage, Train, and Retain)

  • Design and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract top industry professionals
  • Develop talent deployment frameworks to optimize resource allocation across projects and teams
  • Create innovative employee engagement programs that strengthen our company culture
  • Establish robust retention strategies to minimize attrition of key talent
  • Partner with business leaders to identify critical talent gaps and succession planning needs
  • Build a dynamic L&D strategy aligned with organizational competency requirements
  • Oversee the design and delivery of training programs that enhance technical and soft skills
  • Shape and nurture a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects company values
  • Develop recognition programs that celebrate achievements and reinforce desired behaviors
  • Design spaces and experiences that promote team cohesion, employee well-being, foster collaboration and innovation
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization

Performance Management

  • Design and implement a comprehensive performance management framework that drives accountability and results
  • Develop clear performance metrics and KPIs aligned with business objectives
  • Coach managers on effective performance conversations and feedback delivery
  • Identify high-potential employees and create accelerated development paths
  • Address performance challenges through targeted improvement plans
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of performance standards across teams
  • Leverage performance data to inform compensation and promotion decisions
  • Create mentoring and coaching frameworks to accelerate professional growth
  • Drive consistent compensation and benefits practices
  • Lead annual compensation cycles, benchmarking, and pay-for-performance initiatives

HR & Office Operations

  • Direct the full spectrum of HR operations including payroll administration and benefits management
  • Lead the performance cycle management process to ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with business goals
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive HR policies that reflect industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements
  • Implement HRIS solutions to streamline HR processes and enhance data-driven decision making
  • Oversee employee relations issues with a focus on positive resolution and maintaining a healthy work environment
  • Manage vendor relationships for facilities management, office supplies, and administrative services
  • Implement administrative policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles
  • 5-7 years of experience working in professional services industry
  • Proven track record in talent management and organizational development
  • Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience designing and implementing performance management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships with business leaders
  • Successful experience in shaping and evolving organizational culture
  • Demonstrated success in building learning frameworks that drive organizational capability
  • Experience working in global, cross-cultural environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
