Viscadia is a consulting firm whose mission is to empower life sciences companies with clarity and confidence through forecasting. Our team of experts has many years of experience in the life sciences industry and the consulting space. We are looking for a Director of Marketing to join our team of 80+ professionals located in Washington DC, Cambridge, MA, Delhi, India and Lucerne, Switzerland. This position reports to the Founder and CEO. While candidates can live anywhere in the United States, frequent travel for business purposes will be necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for Viscadia. As a partner to the Founder and CEO, you will play a key role in shaping the long-term direction of the company. This full-time position reports directly to the Founder and CEO and requires frequent travel for business purposes.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and deploy comprehensive, omni-channel marketing and promotional plans that drive awareness of and engagement with Viscadia
  • Partner with the Principals to develop client engagement strategies and programs that support the team from initial encounter through engagement completion
  • Develop and enhance product positioning, messaging, and resources that support the differentiation of Viscadia from its competitors. Conduct research/focus groups to elucidate key insights that augment positioning and messaging
  • Develop and execute the corporate communications plan, including drafting press releases and planning and managing social media
  • Develop annual and long-range Global Marketing plan, including strategy, tactics, and budget for tactics for US, Europe and other regions as appropriate
  • Create and maintain key performance indicator dashboards (SEO performance)
  • Lead relationships with external parties (advertising agencies, convention/conference liaisons) to ensure flawless execution of tactics within budget
  • Lead and manage Viscadia presence at key national and international conferences
  • Develop recommendation for Marketing team structure for FY 2025/2026 and beyond

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred (MBA or MA/MS in marketing)
  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing leadership or ad agency account management roles; with a demonstrated minimum of 5 years progressive experience/leadership progression
  • Experience with developing and implementing a wide range of omni-channel marketing programs (personal and non-personal promotion, conventions presence, digital marketing, SEO etc.)
  • Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, etc)
  • Ability to influence without authority and work with multiple stakeholders to achieve marketing objectives
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Exposure to the management consulting, pharmaceutical/biotech, or related industries preferred
  • Experience supporting a global organization a plus
  • Virtual position with ability to travel ~20% of the time, including possible international travel
